Join Gabriola Arts Council Artist in Residence Jessica ᒦᖒᐊᖅᑏ Miinguuaqtii as she guides you through the spontaneous creation of an abstract composition. Participants will complete an intuitive painting exercise resulting in an individual abstract artwork, then be invited to collaborate on a collective piece using similar approaches. This workshop encourages you to trust your intuition, problem solve, identify similarities and celebrate differences, all through a simple and profound abstract art exercise involving black paint and white paper. This workshop is open to all skill levels; no previous artistic experience required.
